Well, for those of you following me…you know the 5 day challenge ends today and can you tell who is MOST happy?  ha ha  Sugar addiction is real my friends.  It’s more addicting that crack cocaine.  It is the leading cause of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, inflammation and the list goes on and on.  Soooo….we did a 5 day detox.  Let me tell you, it wasn’t easy those first 3 days…but then the fog lifted, the headaches went away energy returned and brought with it GREAT clarity.  Tired of living in a brain fog?  Want to be enlightened?

When was the last time you went to the beach let alone felt comfortable wearing shorts?  I haven’t always felt comfortable in shorts.  In fact, I know all to well what it’s like to want to hide your legs…your butt….well basically ANYTHING that showed skin.  I hated not feeling comfortable in my own skin.  I know it affected my personality, my relationships, my confidence….it affected EVERYTHING.  I never wanted to go out in public, I HATED having my picture taken.  But most of all it was depressing.  I knew I had to change or I felt like I was going to die.  So, I did the hardest thing of all….I asked for help!  God forbid we ask for help right?  Why is that so hard for us sometimes?  Well, turns out it was the best thing I have ever done for ME!  YES–I invested in ME!  I guess I WAS worth it after all.  But here’s the best part…it’s what made me ME!  I never would have believed that I would be able to return the favor, pay it forwad and help others on their journey to health and fitness.  It’s now my life’s passion and MISSION to help others transform their lives!  Destiny is truly an amazing thing….

So DAMN proud of this girl right here!  She had a surgery DURING her 90 day transformation and was able to continue her weight loss and stay on track because of all the tools she learned during her journey!  Congrats my friend–you earned it!

I had my last check-in with Anneliese Swingle this morning!! My 90 days is up and I’m down 11.4 lbs…the kicker is that 11 of those pounds are FAT!!! I lost 4.1% of my body fat as well. I think I would have had better results, but I’m still EXCITED as I’m 6 days post-op and still swollen. 
I am so appreciative for this program and everything I have learned! Good luck ladies and stick with it because it WORKS!!!

Nothing satisfies like a great bowl of soup especially if you are time crunched and don’t have time to let it simmer all day.  This is my fast go to fave!  Check it out:

  • 2 T. extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 1 large piece Parmesan rind
  • 6 c. low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 c. cooked white beans (cannellini)
  • 1/2 tsp. pink Himalayan salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 c. baby spinach
  • (I added shrimp to boost the protein)

Instructions:

In a large pot, saute` garlic and pepper flakes until fragrant 30 seconds.  Add rind, broth, beans and salt.  Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer.  Cook, partially covered, for 10 minutes.  Slowly drizzle eggs into hot soup, constantly stirring with a fork.  Stir in spinach; cook until wilted.  Discard rind, then throw in shrimp.  Cook until pink.  Divide soup among bowls; top with Parmesan cheese.

Epic fail right here people! ~ WOW~  I have to tell you…it’s not easy trying to get the right outcome of a plan.. or picture in this case. So, this is me attempting to jump over the wave and falling right into it.  It’s me failing BIG time and I’m not gonna lie IT WAS FUNNY!  But–that’s life… it’s made of failures and successes. How you choose to look at life makes all the difference.  Sometimes you make plans/set goals expecting certain outcomes, and when you don’t meet those expectations of your goal setting you see it as a failure.  IT IS OKAY TO FAIL!!  You NEED to fail, it’s part of your learning experience.  However, when you don’t learn from your failures and keep repeating them you’ll never fine success.  for instance:

  1. Have you tried to lose the same weight over and over again?
  2. Have you tried every fad diet in the universe?
  3. Have you tried working out insanely and not seeing any results?
  4. Have you tried eliminating entire food groups?
  5. Have you tried under eating and over exercising?
  6. Have you tried rewarding yourself with a “treat” because you lost weight then gained it back plus some?

If this is you, you’re probably feeling like a FAILURE, but you’re NOT!  You’re just living life…HOWEVER if you’re sick and tired of failing and repeating the same mistakes maybe it’s time you had some SUCCESS in 2019!!  Maybe it’s time to invest in YOU.  Maybe it’s time you asked for help.  If you want 2019 to look different from 2018, then message me if you want LONG lasting success you can be proud of!  CHEERS to 2019!!
