Belly Breathing
Inhale into belly which fills with air, shoulders stay relaxed, belly puffs out. Exhale, belly pushes air out, navel goes to spine, belly sinks inward.
Exercises:
1) Lie on floor. One hand on belly, other beneath the small of back–palm down. Inhale fill belly with air (hand rises), exhale belly pushes air out (hand sinks into belly).
*Repeat 12 times slowly.
2) Stand up, back against a wall. One hand on belly, other hand behind small of back. Inhale fill belly with air (hand rises), exhale belly pushes air out (hand sinks into belly).
*Repeat 12 times slowly.
3) On all fours, hands shoulder width apart, knees hip width apart.
Inhale fill belly with air (hand rises), exhale belly pushes air out (hand sinks into belly).
*Repeat 12 times slowly.
