Awhile ago I posted about what to do when you’re injured and shared with you a little bit about my injury/journey to recovery. This is a follow up to that post.
I am happy to report I am 98% pain free! Tip: Doing corrective work PAYS OFF!
Do you sit all day?? Can I just say…sitting for long periods of time KILLS your back, core, hip flexors, butt and slows down your metabolism. I know first hand all to well about this. Here’s what I did to heal my “butt”. I hope this helps ANYONE dealing with back pain, piriformis issues, psoas issues or all of the above.
- Every 30 minutes I got up and moved
- I worked my transverse abdominis daily with corrective exercises
- I foam rolled my piriformis, IT band and quads daily
- I did IT band corrective exercises
- I stretched DAILY!
All of these things coupled with LOTS of water and natural anti-inflammatories (fish oil and Vit. C) has really made a huge difference in my journey to healing. Feel free to reach out if you have questions, I would love to help. Cheers to health and healing!
