Sometimes I just have to stop and take a moment to appreciate all the little things in life. The birds singing, the gentle breeze, the leaves falling from the trees, the air I breathe…my freedom to do as I please. But most of all, it’s my health I’m so thankful for and appreciate the most. It wasn’t always like that. I didn’t appreciate it much at all. In fact, I took it for granted. I took advantage of it to the degree that I lost it. THAT’S when I realized how much I appreciated it….once it was gone. Was it hard work to get it back? Yes! I worked very hard to get it back. Was it worth it? HELL YAH! I work at it every day to to this day to maintain it. I never want to lose my health again. I don’t like feeling tired, run down, low energy, exhausted climbing a flight of stairs, embarrassed, depressed, lonely. Those feelings are NOT fun. They are a constant reminder of how valuable HEALTH is to me. Those reminders keep me striving to better my health every day. Just one step at a time is truly all it takes. I just had to focus on ONE thing at a time or it was too overwhelming. My advice? Appreciate the little things in life, make health a priority ONE STEP AT A TIME!
