I remember when I first started lifting weights way back when I lived in Minot, ND.   I felt so insecure and awkward in the weight room.  I literally had no idea what I was doing–but I didn’t want to ASK (God forbid) or LOOK like I didn’t know what I was doing,  so I just tried to figure it out on my own.  One day a “guy” approached me and told me I was going to hurt myself if I continued to lift that way.  Of course I was horrified, but also realized that I needed help.  So, I humbled myself enough to ask if he would teach me.  Turns out he was a trainer GAH!  Best thing I ever did was to ADMIT I needed help and turns out he was a GREAT coach and trainer.  The moral of the story:  sometimes you just gotta “let go of the control, ego, embarrassment or WHATEVER and do what it takes to take care of yourself.  JUST ASK!!

Have finally asked for help and prayer with my depression. It only took about three panic attacks for me to be able to do that.
