Hi fans….I’ve had SO many requests for Trainer Tim to make an appearance that I thought I would give you a  little fix.  DISCLAIMER:  Did he know I took this picture?  NO!  Did he give permission to me to post it?  YES!  (ok, after a lot of prodding and begging).  but anyway,  here’s what it’s all about…

As you know, Tim has an affinity for…I’ll just say it….SUGAR!  So, I thought this would be a GREAT time to chat about it.  As you might have guessed, we don’t have a steady supply of the stuff around here, so he has to get really creative to get his hit (hence sucking down the last remnants of a strawberry smoothie).  I KNOW you know what I’m talking about if:

  • you crave something sweet after dinner
  • you rummage through the fridge constantly trying to find something to scratch that itch
  • you’re tired after you eat lunch
  • you need a 2:00 “bump”
  • you eat chocolate every day
  • you desire something salty every day
  • you wake up tired every day 
  • you have gas and bloating after every meal
  • you always feel bloated
  • constipation OR diarrhea 
  • you can’t lose weight

If you can relate to any or all of these statements then KEEP READING!

All of these “feelings” are real when you have an imbalance in the gut.  Gut health controls your life, let’s be real.  Your immune system is housed in the gut.  When the gut is out of whack it can lead to a whole list of other problems:  candida overgrowth, leaky gut, hashimoto’s, hypothyroidism, lethargy, chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia.  YIKES! 

So what causes it?  

  1. high carb diets (processed foods)
  2. Chronic stress
  3. Medications
  4. too much alcohol
  5. fermented foods

These are a few of the things that CAN enhance or even cause it.  

Now what?    

First of all, it CAN be fixed.  Don’t despair– there are many protocols out there to help heal the gut.  The tricky part is where to start.  Hit me up if you have questions.  Happy to help!!!
