Thank you Brenda G. for this great question!   Typically, after eating a meal high in starchy carbs or a LARGE meal, your insulin levels spike as your body tries to assimilate all the sugars, then your body crashes and causes “the tireds” as all the energy rushes to your intestinal track instead of your brain trying to digest the food.  What to do?  Eat a meal balanced in protein, carbs and fat….and DON’T overeat!
