Sometimes, life is more about giving than receiving. Sometimes, life is more about doing than being. Sometimes life is about doing the right thing. Sometimes life is about sacrifice. All the times life is about mindset and attitude!
When we, (my kids and I), were planning how to make a baby shower in Florida, and a babysitting gig in Louisiana work, it quickly became apparent that the only way to make both work--would be for me to be gone for 5 weeks. without returning home. I had to really sit with this realization because:
I love to garden
I love to plant flowers
I love to hike
I love summers in Helena
Honestly, I could go on and on, but the thing is...my kids needed me and I love them more than all of the above listed 'things'. Once I wrapped my mind around the undertaking--I never looked back and it was full steam ahead.
Attitude is everything.
And here's the kicker....my son is moving to Minot, ND and needed help getting his LOUD little sports moved, so we chose to drive it all the way back to Helena from Louisiana! Took 3 days, 1 UTI, and food poisoning to get it here---but my hubby and I DID IT!
We made a ton of memories, a complete transformation of the mind and a trip of a lifetime we'll never want to repeat! haha But in all honesty--attitude is everything and we made the best of it!
